Bubble Enterprises is a Community Interest Company which brings its business expertise to work together with individuals and organisations in the mental health field to develop a broad range of commercially sustainable opportunities for social and economic inclusion as part of the Recovery process in Mental Health. It was established in 2007, in partnership with WTP, as a result of the success of the Laughing Budda Bubble Incubator.
We have championed the concept that appropriate and tailored enterprise support has a unique and constructive impact in the recovery of people with severe and enduring mental health issues. Our impact has been wide ranging and on a number of levels which include:
- Engaging with individuals through the notion of enterprise to help them reconnect with their skills, experience and passions to use enterprise as part of their recovery. Providing not only alternative options but giving focus and a way forward to the future.
- Helping health professionals and support staff to better understand the positive impact that enterprise and employment can have as part of a persons recovery from mental distress
- Connecting with and providing real opportunities where people can make a demonstrable difference in a small business, paid employment or through volunteering
- Working in partnership to create social enterprises in a professional and long term sustainable way
